# Profile and username

Set your picture, name, bio, website, and social links for your public Savepad, and change your username at my.savepad.app/@you.

Your profile is what people see at the top of [your public Savepad](https://savepad.app/docs/public-savepad). Nobody sees it until you make something public.

## Edit your profile

Go to **Settings > Profile**.

- **Picture**: press **Upload a picture**, or **Use the default** to go back to the drawing we gave you.
- **Name**: how you want to be called.
- **Bio**: up to 280 characters. What you do, what you collect.
- **Website**: has to start with `https://`.
- **Elsewhere**: a handle or a link for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, GitHub, YouTube, TikTok, and Dribbble. They show up as icons on your public page.

Press **Save profile**.

## Your username

Your username is your public address: `my.savepad.app/@username`. You picked it when you signed up.

![The username field in Savepad Settings with the fine print on changing it: the old one redirects for 90 days, and one change every 90 days](https://savepad.app/shots/the-username-field-in-savepad-settings-with-the-fine-179853.png)

Your username is your public address.

To change it, press **Change username** under it. The fine print:

- Your old username redirects to the new one for 90 days. After that, anyone can take it.
- You can change it once every 90 days.
- If a company asks for a username that’s their trademark (apple, nike, that sort of thing), we can take it back. It’s in the [terms](https://savepad.app/terms).

The rest of Settings is on [the Settings page](https://savepad.app/docs/settings).
