How to find your saved posts on Reddit

Where Reddit keeps your saved posts and comments on desktop and in the app, the 1,000-item limit nobody mentions, and how to keep saves you don't want to lose.

TLDR

• Desktop: click your avatar, then Saved. Or go to reddit.com/user/your-username/saved.
• App: tap your avatar, then Saved.
• Reddit only shows your latest 1,000 saves, and there’s no search. Keep the threads that matter somewhere else.

On desktop

1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner.
2. Click Saved (on some layouts it’s under your profile, as a tab).
3. Switch between Posts and Comments at the top.

The direct link is https://www.reddit.com/user/your-username/saved, swap in your username.

In the app

1. Tap your avatar.
2. Tap Saved.

The 1,000 limit

This is the bit that catches people. Reddit’s lists only go back 1,000 items. Your older saves aren’t deleted, you just can’t scroll back to them. Unsave a few hundred and older ones reappear. If you’ve been saving since 2015, a lot of your best stuff is hidden behind that wall.

Add to that: no search, no folders, and deleted posts become [removed]. For a list you use to keep the best threads on the internet, it’s a pretty bad home.

Keep the good ones

Copy the link to the post or comment (Share → Copy link) and paste it into a bookmark manager or swipe file. In Savepad, a Reddit link gets a reading copy and a full-page snapshot, so if a mod removes the thread, your copy still has it. Search reads the text, so you can find “the thread about cold email subject lines” by searching “subject lines”.

Marketers keep a surprising amount of research in Reddit threads: honest reviews of competitors, people complaining about the problem you solve, the words they use. That’s competitor research gold, and it deserves better than a list you can’t search.

Same mess on other platforms: Instagram saved posts, LinkedIn saved posts, and X bookmarks.
