Savepad as a Swipewell alternative

Swipewell is the closest thing to Savepad out there. It screenshots pages from a Chrome extension, has its own email address for forwarding, and has a feed of examples to browse. It also has an AI that turns your swipes into new copy. That's where we part ways.

Where Swipewell wins

  • A Chrome extension

Full page, visible area or one element, straight from the browser. Savepad is a web app you paste into, for now.

  • Something to browse

A feed of curated examples for when you are stuck. Savepad only shows you your own stuff.

  • Teams

Invite people and see who added what. Savepad is for one person.

Where Savepad wins

  • No AI remixing

You saved these for their taste. Savepad won't rewrite them into copy that sounds like everyone else's.

  • 17 save types

Fonts with a type tester, PDFs you can search, code, audio, places, recipes and products, right next to your screenshots.

  • Sequences

Every email in an onboarding flow, kept in order with the days in between.

  • Free for longer

Swipewell Free keeps 10 swipes. Savepad Free keeps 150.

Which one is for you?

Stay on Swipewell

If you want a feed to browse, a team workspace, or AI to turn your swipes into first drafts.

Pick Savepad

If you want every kind of reference in one place, kept properly, with no AI anywhere near it.

Moving over

Put your links in a CSV, one URL per row is enough, and import it. Savepad fetches every link again and makes a fresh preview.

FAQs

Why no AI remixing?

Because you saved these for their taste, and a model averages taste out. The philosophy page has the long version.

Is there a Savepad browser extension?

Not yet. Paste links, drop files, or email things in.

Can I use Savepad and Swipewell together?

Sure. Lots of people keep Swipewell for what it's best at and use Savepad as their swipe file. You can export everything from Savepad whenever you like, so you're never locked in.

Does Savepad use AI?

Nope. No summaries, no auto-tagging, and nothing gets sent to a model. If you want AI, connect your own over MCP.

Want in first?

Savepad launches soon. Leave your email and I'll let you know when it's live.

No spam, just the one email to tell you we're live.
