How this was put together
Am I biased? Very. So here’s what I did about it: went through every tool’s site and pricing page in October 2026, wrote down what each one does better than Savepad, and linked the full comparison for each. Every other list I found ranking these was written by one of the tools on it, usually ranking itself first. This one is too, so I put the trade-offs in plain sight and you can judge.
What I looked at for each: who it’s for, what it saves, whether it keeps the thing itself or just a link, whether it uses AI, whether you can export, and what it costs.
The tools
Foreplay
Built for paid social teams. A swipe file for ads, a search over hundreds of millions of ads you’ve never seen, briefs for editors, and on the Workflow plan, competitor tracking and analytics on your own ads. $59 a month, or $49 billed yearly, for one user. Workflow is $175 a month.

Swipekit
Foreplay’s shape at about half the price. Saves ads from the ad libraries, tracks brands, and has AI Scripts that turn a saved ad into a storyboard. $26 a month for five seats, 14 days free without a card.

Swipewell
The closest to Savepad in spirit: a swipe file for marketers with a Chrome extension that screenshots pages, an email address for forwarding, and a Discover feed of curated examples. Free for 10 swipes, Pro $10 a month billed yearly.

Savepad
A personal swipe file for people who make things: 17 save types, from pages and ads to emails, PDFs, fonts, palettes, and places. A full-page snapshot of every link, the text in every screenshot read for search, search across all of it, colour filters, and a public page if you want one. No AI anywhere. Exports on every plan. Free for 150 saves, then €4.99 or €9.99 a month.
Where it’s weaker: no browser extension yet, no discovery feed, and it’s for one person, not a team.
mymind
Beautiful, genuinely. Save something and AI tags it, sorts it, and lets you search by colour. About $4.99 to $12.99 a month, no free plan.
Better than Savepad at: never having to organise anything. Less good for: people who want to decide where things go, or would rather not have AI in the loop. mymind alternatives.
Raindrop.io
A really good bookmark manager that’s been around for years, on every device, and cheap. Free with unlimited links. Pro is around $3 a month, billed yearly, and adds full-text search, permanent copies, and an AI assistant.
Better than Savepad at: being a plain, fast bookmark manager everywhere. Less good for: saving the thing itself and finding it by what’s inside. Raindrop alternatives.
Savee
A gorgeous grid of inspiration and a big design community. Extensions, phone apps, a Figma plugin, and a feed of what’s trending. Free, Pro $9 a month billed yearly.

Built for finding new images, by colour and visual similarity, with a setting to hide AI-generated images. Free to start.

A canvas for creative projects: drag images, notes, and links onto boards. Free for 100 items, then paid.

Notion
Loads of swipe files are a Notion database with a gallery view. If your docs already live there, that’s a real reason to keep it there. Free for personal use.

How to pick
Ask what you save and who it’s for. If it’s ads for a team, an ad tool. If it’s links, a bookmark manager. If it’s a bit of everything and it’s yours, a swipe file.
