Foreplay vs Swipekit
Foreplay and Swipekit both save ads and track competitors. How they differ on price, seats, discovery, and AI, and when neither is the right tool.
TLDR
- Same shape: save ads from the Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn ad libraries, track competitor brands, and share boards with your team.
- Foreplay has the bigger ad library to search and more tools around it (briefs, analytics on your own ads). It’s pricier: $59 a month, or $49 billed yearly, for one user.
- Swipekit is about half the price with more seats: $26 a month for five people and five tracked brands, with a 14-day trial and no card.
The short version
If you’re a small team that mainly wants to save ads and keep an eye on five competitors, Swipekit. If you’re an agency or a big paid social team that wants discovery, briefs, and reporting in one place, Foreplay.
Price and seats
Foreplay (October 2026):
- Basic: $59 a month, $49 billed yearly. One user. Swipe file, discovery, and briefs.
- Workflow: $175 a month, $149 yearly. Five users. Adds Spyder (competitor tracking), Lens (your own ad analytics), the Chrome extension, and the mobile app.
- Agency: $459 a month, $389 yearly. Ten users.
- 7-day trial with a card.
Swipekit (October 2026):
- Basic: $26 a month. Five seats, five tracked brands.
- Plus: $46 a month. Ten seats, ten brands.
- Agency: $66 a month. Fifteen seats, fifteen brands.
- Every plan has the same features. 14 days free, no card.
That’s a big gap. Five people tracking competitors costs $26 a month on Swipekit and $175 on Foreplay.
Discovery
Foreplay searches a library of hundreds of millions of ads, and its whole Basic plan is built around finding ads you didn’t know existed. Swipekit has Multiplayer, a shared library of what its users save. Foreplay wins here, clearly.
AI
Both have it. Foreplay has briefs and an MCP to connect its ad library to AI tools. Swipekit has AI Scripts, which turns a saved ad into a storyboard, a concept, or copy, with monthly credits per plan, plus an MCP too. If you want AI writing your briefs, both will. If you don’t, you’ll be ignoring a chunk of either one.
When neither is right
Both are ad tools for teams. If ads are one of ten things you save, and the landing page, the welcome email, and the onboarding flow matter just as much, you’re paying for features you won’t touch. That’s where Savepad fits: a swipe file for all of it, free for 150 saves, €4.99 or €9.99 after, no AI. It doesn’t track competitors or search ads you never saw, so it’s a different tool, not a cheaper Foreplay.
The Foreplay alternatives post covers the wider field, and if you’ve never built an ad swipe file, start with how to build one from the ad libraries.
