Pinterest alternatives for designers sick of AI slop
Pinterest added AI labels and a see-fewer setting in 2025. If that's not enough, where to find human-made inspiration, and where to keep yours.

What Pinterest did about it
In 2025 Pinterest started adding an “AI modified” label to images it detects as generated or edited with AI. You see it in the corner when you open a pin.
Then in October 2025 it added controls to see fewer AI pins in categories most full of them (beauty, art, fashion and home decor to start). You can set it in Settings → Refine your recommendations, or from the three-dot menu on a pin.
That’s something, and it’s more than a lot of apps offer. But it’s “see fewer”, in some categories, when the detection catches it. If you’re a designer looking for real work by real people, you’re still wading.
Where to find inspiration made by people
Are.na. Paid for by its members, no ads, no algorithmic feed. People build “channels” around ideas, and a lot of them are thoughtful researchers and designers. It’s slower to browse than Pinterest, because nobody’s tuning it to keep you scrolling.
Savee. A big design community, a gorgeous grid, and a feed of what other designers are saving. Browser extensions, phone apps and a Figma plugin.
Cosmos. Built for finding images: search by colour, by what looks similar, and you can hide AI-generated images.
Galleries for specific things. Landing pages, apps, typography: the design inspiration websites post has the list, by what you’re designing.
Where to keep your own
The other half of Pinterest was never discovery. It was “save this so I can find it later”. And that part doesn’t need a feed at all.
Savepad is that half. It saves images, full pages, fonts, palettes and 13 other kinds of thing, into folders you decide. There’s no feed, no recommendations and no AI anywhere in it (on purpose, here’s why). Search by colour and by the text in your screenshots. Make a folder public if you want to show your taste off, keep the rest private.
