How to use the TikTok Creative Center
The TikTok Creative Center shows top ads by industry and country, free. How to use Top Ads, what the numbers mean, and how to keep the good ones.
TLDR
- The TikTok Creative Center is free and shows the top-performing TikTok ads, filtered by country, industry, objective, and time.
- Top Ads is the bit you want for a swipe file. Each ad comes with likes, CTR, and a rough budget level.
- For a specific competitor’s ads, use TikTok’s Commercial Content Library instead (EU ads only).
What’s in there
The Creative Center is TikTok’s inspiration hub for advertisers. The main sections:
- Top Ads. The best-performing ads, ranked, with filters.
- Trend Discovery. Trending hashtags, songs, creators, and videos by country.
- Keyword Insights. Which words and phrases show up in ads that perform.
- Creative tools. Templates and a script generator. You can skip those.
Use Top Ads
- Open the Creative Center and go to Inspiration → Top Ads.
- Pick a region (your market, not where you are), an industry, and an objective like conversions or traffic.
- Set the time period: last 7, 30, or 180 days.
- Sort by what you care about. Reach shows what got seen, CTR shows what got clicked.
- Click an ad to play it, with its likes, comments, shares, CTR, and budget level.

What to look for
Watch with the sound on, then off. Most people scroll muted, so the ones that work silent are the ones to study. Then look at the first two seconds. That’s the hook, and it’s usually the whole reason an ad made the list. Pause where the product first shows up. On a lot of top ads, it’s before second five.

Find a competitor’s ads
Top Ads doesn’t search by brand. For that, use TikTok’s Commercial Content Library, the transparency database required in Europe. Search an advertiser, see every ad they ran in the EU, with dates and reach. If they don’t advertise in Europe, you won’t find them there.
Keep what you find
The Creative Center is a feed. It changes every week, and it won’t remember what you liked. Copy the ad’s link, or screen record it, and keep it in a swipe file with a line on why: “hook in 1 second, product by 0:04, captions do all the work.”
In Savepad, paste the link or drop the recording in, tag it #hook or #ugc, and add the note. Search finds it by the note or the caption. The ad swipe file post has the full setup, and the Meta side of things is in how to use the Meta Ad Library.
